There are several versions of the Ovi Contacts application available for mobile device operating systems (S40, S60 3rd edition versions 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2, the S60 touch devices and the Nokia Internet Tablet OS 2008, also known as Maemo).
Note that the look & feel of the application is different on each supported OS version
The Ovi Contacts application installs as a separate application but integrates with the standard contacts application or phonebook on the device
Note that the Ovi Contacts application does not replace the current phone book or contacts application of the device

The Ovi Contacts application provides an enhanced contacts experience for Ovi by Nokia users
The Ovi Contacts application includes presence and Instant Messaging (IM) functionality
The instant messaging service provided by Ovi Contacts allows friends to chat together easily over the data connection.
The presence service provides your current status information to each of your available friends.
To use the Ovi Contacts application on your Nokia device, you need to have a Nokia Account
